If you think that harvest is a romantic moment…well, stop reading now.
The weeks of harvest are intense, full of tension, fatigue, with your eyes always looking up to the sky and the weather forecast on the internet. The work of an entire year is decided in just a few weeks. For the farmers it is the culmination of their effort looking after the vineyard and for us it is the time to understand the secrets of the ripening grapes. They will become the wine that we will present all over the world.
These are very long days, sometimes working for twenty hours nonstop where the smallest detail is constantly monitored, working side by side, all together, all equally committed.
Our wine is always the result of a team effort: our valuable farmers, the women who select and pick only the ripe grapes, the tractor drivers who bring the grapes to us in the cellar, our boys in the wine cellar often immersed in purple must, and Mark completely dedicated, as he says, to talking to the grapes.
